2017 NEW FOLK FINALIST – Congratulations to ARLON BENNETT for being selected as one of the 32 Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Finalists for 2017! These songwriters were chosen over 600 wonderful entries received from North America, Europe, Australia and Japan. Sixteen of the finalists with perform the two songs they submitted at the New Folk Concert on Saturday, May 27, and the other sixteen on Sunday, May 28. Arlon will perform on Saturday, May 27, accompanied by John Sonntag on guitar.
From the May 27 and May 28 performances, the SIX 2017 Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Award WINNERS will be selected by judges Amy Speace, Dan Navarro, and Jeff Black and will be announced during the Evening Concert on Sunday, May 28. These six award winners will be invited to return the following weekend to perform at the Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Winners concert on Sunday, June 4.
The 10th annual Serfa Conference will be held May 17-21 in Montreat, NC.
The Levins will be performing in the Formal Showcases Saturday, May 20th at 7 PM
